– Radiopaque lesion composed of dental hard tissues that may block eruption and cause impaction. – Two forms: A) Compound: found anteriorly, miniature teeth within the lesion. B) Complex: found posteriorly, irregular conglomerate mass of hard tissue within the lesion. – Odontomas are associated with Gardner Syndrome. – One of the main characteristics of Gardner Syndrome is if left untreated, it can lead to coloerectal cancer. |
